Hyung-tae Kim’s work on Blade & Soul

The visual aspect of Blade & Soul resembles that of the Magna Carta series. Both videogames share the same main artist: Hyung-tae Kim. The game offer diverse fantasy envoirements, from medieval-like town to mysterious asian-type forests to dark ancient temples. The most oustanding aspect of the overall visuals is surely that of the character design, even though the game is played online with a player grated protagonist. Hyung-tae Kim reintroduces us to his lustfull poses mixed with very plastic and powerfull volumes surrounded by colorfully exotic fashion and weapons. Characters show exaggerated moves and poses that go along perfectly with the action oriented gameplay
